Photographs

You say you take pictures of the things you love the most,

I smile and nod as you take a picture of the sky,

yet you've never taken pictures of me.

Albums and albums full of skylines across the coast,

some from the airplane windows as we fly,

you say you take picture sof the things you love the most.

Tons of photos of vintage coats,

from the old store we always walk by

yet you've never taken pictures of me.

Our honeymoon to the mountains, nothing but goats,

clicking through the album I can't help but sigh,

you say you take pictures of the things you love the most.

All of its features, you can't help but boast,

you talk about all of your new pictures, your hand on my thigh,

yet you've never taken pictures of me.

As you point your camera towards the seacoast,

you tell me you love me, but I can't help but wonder why.

You say you take pictures of the things you love the most,

yet you've never taken pictures of me.
