Pearls

Stacy,

I can still remember your gorgeous pearls,

those devilish items revealed the greatest treasure for me.

These riches could only be a girls.

The pearls gave me a view into the sea,

And I knew that's where I wanted to be.

Those servants of temptation always shined with warmth and love.

They knew how to tear down my fortified walls of protection.

My anxious heart was given a forceful shove.

Then I soon suffered an all too familiar infection.

Nothing would stop me then except hateful rejection.

As those priceless beauties have moved on to affect countless other wanderers,

I can no longer go on.

Fear is the ultimate squanderer.

However I will be drawn,

To have one last look on.
