Past hindsight

Luke 9:62

62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Past (hindsight)

Looking back. Oh! what a sight

If I just could do it over again

It looks so clear what I should have done

With all those mistakes befalling man

It is said by mortal man

"Hindsight is twenty - twenty"

But even in these moments

It seems blindness dwells in plenty

Foresight is so close to nil

that “nothing” appears like abundance.

Why is it that appearance kills

common sense into a fragrance?

It looks so good … when we're deciding.

It makes good sense  … so let us go on.

If it falls apart ourselves dividing

we wonder why it could go so wrong.

There are winners and there are losers.

Some always first and some always last.

Is it how you run or how you're choosing

that shows you're a victim of the past?
