The Other Half

A stranger walked though the trees
I felt him looking at me
But you aren't a stranger at all
So different from me you call
You are the ghost of what had past
A memory that didn't last
I thought I could let you go
But little did I know

You are the best of me
The one who comes back for me
The reflection I should see
The power, the pride I need
The very hope I cheat
The the bigger heart that beats
You were the best of me
The very soul I breathe

You sat next to me
I felt the pain I breed
And you cried as you stared at me
You are the dove with the crows
The only hope I know
A memory that didn't go
I thought you would never show
But little did I know

You are the best of me
The other half of me
The reflection I should see
The help, the strength I need
The very hope I bleed
The the bigger heart that beats
You were the best of me
The very soul I keep

You are the best of me
The other half of me
The person I should see
Standing next to me
The only hope for me
Me second heart that beats
You are the best of me
The only thing I need

A stranger walked through the trees
He is the other half of me
