Opposites don't attract

Sterling Klein

The Sun and the Moon.
Who says opposites attract?
For the Moon hates the Sun,
As is a simple fact.
The Sun always comes first,
Leaving the Moon for last.
And the Moon's lights are dull,
As the Sun's light goes quite vast.
Yet the bit that always angered the Moon the most,
Was something simple about them both.
The Sun shines bright for all to see,
Yet the Moon only reflects what is left.
The Moon had to steal the light,
Just a small theft.
For the Sun is the favored child,
The Moon is neglected.
The Moon hates itself, all the while,
He has no idea of all he's effected.
As the tide changes
And the Moon brings the glow,
It has more effect on the world than it knows
In it's heart, the Moon may not have much self worth,
Yet the Moon is still treasured by all of the Earth.
