Ocean Psyche

Location

Stark white beaches contrasting glasslike water enchants;
drawing many souls close, so close they are engulfed in it.
Hopelessly consumed selfishly by the veneer opting to idle
close to the shore; bewitched in comfort they can't explain.

Suddenly pulled from bliss by undertow - pulling them deeper.
Far deeper than they can handle; they thrash violently against
it. Rattled; a sense of shock bordering betrayal the very same serene water was now pulling them deep into and underneath
it. Feelings of hurt are now mutual as the only quality equal to
its enticing transcendence; is its unpredictable chaotic nature

How can one truly appreciate the beauty of the conveniently affable beaches if they are ignorant to the precarious depths ? Would you rather not experience its magnitude and opulence
for the mere illusion of safety? Would it still be as captivating without its perilousness? Or is its eminence a perception born
of the unknown risk and instability found within ?
