Nowhere is a place like this

Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, you sluggard;
observe her ways and be wise!
 Right here

Nowhere in the universe is a place like this.

Only understood by the ones who here exist.

A place where its own feelings become sinking sand.

Totally misunderstood by the rulers of the land.

It was sung years ago in the tune:  “Walk a mile in my shoes”.

But no-one knows how it feels unless they pay their dues.

Working here far away constantly from family and friends

Always burning the candle, where possible, at both ends.

I like it here I heard before of someone who wastes the day.

This must be close to paradise is all I hear them quietly say.

Maybe they are right indeed as they change towards unable

All they hunger for is the good food on someone else’s table.
