No more hope

No more hope

by Ima Ríos

Every step people took that night

crushed a tear of a homeless child

yet the owners of each step

didn't care

AHHHHHHHHHH

They don't care.

I was walking by the callejones of los cartoneros

in the amazing city of Buenos Aires

full of cultura

but carente de comida.

And they didn't care

AHHHHHHHHHHH

they don't care.

I bought leche for three homeless children

whom were working in the streets

and people sneek a peek at me

with their eyes full of bullshit.

Prontly the children embraced me

and thanked me with a smile.

Those poor children don't smile

and they don't care

AHHHHHHHHHH

they don't care.

There was a little girl, sick, full of snot

working on the train to Retiro

and nobody gave her a penny

they just looked away

because they didn't care

AHHHHHHHHHH

they don't care.

There was this little dude throwing away his food

while a street kid was starving at his side.

He just gazed at him, and kept doing what he was doing.

He just didn't care.

This other little dude went to give some food to a street kid

but his mother grabbed him by the arm and didn't let him

be a caring person.

That's how the philantrhopist were extinct

Because we don't care no more.

AHHHHHHHHHH

We don't care no more!

This society is a piece of shit!

Our kids are growing without knowing how to be gratefull

or to have empathy.

They don't care

they just simply don't care!
