For my mom...

Today you are 50 years-old

Symbolic of the precious gold

A daughter, a sister, a mother a wife

Today is a day to reflect upon your life

Some days you want to cry, some days you live in fear

But revisit the moments where we all laugh and cheer

I’ve only been around for 18 years

But I’m blessed every day to call you my mother dear

So let’s take a walk down our memory lane

Reminisce on moments like when I freaked out on a plane

We’ve hiked through mountains all over the country

Ran across roads to pose behind ice

Hiked along boardwalks and hugged a cedar tree

Visited a world to meet famous mice

Watched a genie and chimneysweeps perform live on stage

Gotten Charleston Chews from the Mast General Store

We have so much fun, who cares about age?!

Our memories together a truly shy of a bore

Not only today, but each day of your life

Know that we’re all blessed to have you as a mother, a sister, a daughter, a wife
