My first dive

Matthew 14:29-30

29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

The 1st dive

Down and down I go after falling from the boat

Hang on to your mouthpiece for you will not float

Wow! There is the bottom but I see much of nothing

Amazing after all … a lesson seemed forgotten

My ears are surely aching … I held my nose in the way down

Did not start too well … not of my own making

The dive-master a woman … labeled: “Born in France”

My life is in her hand somehow as I don’t know how to dance

“Hang on to me”, she simply said … I wonder with one hand or two

It surely restricted my movement, really close to sad

In my 46 years of marriage I have been hanging on to my wife

Like a horse and a carriage … I am the latter to avoid strive

Water filled my mask several times … I learned how to clear it

It seems The Lord made it fine and showed me not to fear this

Maybe He shows me all that are now hidden from my vision

Even after Adam’s fall, He operates everything with precision
