My Body

Fri, 01/19/2024 - 23:52 -- Kmoon15

I watch you fade away

begging him to stay

I watch you wait for him

you almost fall off the limb

but

I catch you

like I always do

He hurt us when we were six

In a situation they didn't even attempt to fix

I watched you suffer

you lived as a buffer

I watched you as a kid

knowing only how we ran and hid

I see you now

They all wonder how

We relive the moments I watched you mourn

Even though you smile I know you are torn

But

when you fall I catch you

You know I do

I watch you get called fat

And what happened after that

When he destroyed your self esteem

But no one noticed he wasnt what he seemed

I watched you cry

when he told you it would be easier for you to just die

I was SO mad

but you couldn't be, so you settled with sad

Then you starved me

But

I forgive you this is how it had to be

I know you loved him

but he made everything so dim

So you cut me

because you cant see

But

when you fall I catch you

I know I do

I am getting weaker

my catches meeker

and then one day I don't catch you I fall

But I will still be here

through every thought and every tear

but

I can't take much more one day I'll dissapear

I can only take so much abuse

I have only so much use

But I will try and catch you

and I will keep you safe as long as you allow me to

I watch you hate me

But I am all I can be

I am tired

this is getting dire

But I will still catch you

I don't think you know that is what I always do

You can starve and cut me

But i will ALWAYS give you all I can be

I am brave and consistent and strong

What I don't understand is how you let them convince you I am wrong

You think your crazy

they think your "lazy"

But right now I am trying

I do not plan on dying

You have pushed me to the brink

but i will always think

that you are wonderful

through all this bull

I WILL catch you

Until you realize I always do
