Mind matters

Romans 7:23  New English Translation

23 But I see a different law in my members waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that is in my members.

Mind matters: Rebellious thoughts

The battle is fought in mind, which is captive to the prince of the world

The strongholds are in the crevices, where ideas are hammered down

They cannot move or change there and surely will fight until the end

Unless destroyed they’ll pop up again to fight another round

To be taken captive and be turned over to Christ

But who can do it but Christ Himself as in Him, I abide?

The war is won, the bible states, but my battles just began

A child of contradiction who wants to be God’s child

So it is my mind at issue. Here is where demons clash with God

Not really for supremacy for God is Almighty

Where do I fit in this? Is it in Christ the human?

I also went through all of this, and it showed me not to fight it.

He showed me to rely on our God, The Father

To place everything in The Father’s loving hands

He held not back anything: No thought, word, or action

He gave it all to God, Who fully understands

“I always do what My Father wants”, He quietly stated

“If you see me as I am”, you see God, The Father

“We are One in All”, you know there is no separation

“Only when I took your sins on the Cross”, in Love, a martyr

In the Eternal, a second seems a million years

A moment just forsaken will appear a living hell

Not a moment in time can be compared to this

It’s beyond our understanding. Glorification will later tell.
