The melody of Faith

Isa 31:5  As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also He will deliver it; and passing over He will preserve it.

Praise

The song of a mockingbird in the stillness of early morn

singing praises to its Maker ... and attracting my attention?

Endless seems its song ... as this moment now adorns

the removal of heart’s faking ... about the beauty of creation.

Melodious in origination ... soft rhapsody of life

perfection for a moment ... stroking my listening ears

Deep into the inner-man ... removing all the strife

almost like atonement ... removing uncertainty and fears

Soon it will be daylight ... the song be lost in noise

and take from the heart ... the touch of serenity

The song the spark of light ... that carried in its voice

the worship of creation’s part ... for the gift of Eternity

Now the singing stopped ... it seems completely silent

a moment of calm ... before the storm of “life”

The flesh will gather crops ... that it sowed in violence

ever since the Fall ... hungering to survive

Routine will take over ... and instinct will find a way

in its search for comfort ... and self-satisfaction

The bird now undercover ... waiting again to play

when flesh thro sleep is covered ... in its own dimension
