Lust

Ephesians 6:12

12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies,

against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world,

against mighty powers in this dark world,

and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Left alone with self

Where did the Spirit go … as I plunged into darkness?

Has my flesh the power … to make Him disappear?

It seems that lust was raging … without any obstruction.

How did I get into this shape … in the middle of the day?

It seems to come from nowhere … and flows without restriction.

It appeared that my mind stood still and the “righteous” will was gone.

My values had disappeared somehow … in the raging and the screaming

That through the flesh was hollering … for time to fade away.

It seems kind of scary … that all seems beyond control.

It’s almost you’re not part of it … and turned into an observer.

Like another personality … took over your will

And you just stand there helplessly … like a piece of clay.
