Little brother

Abracadabra alakazam!

I think I was just given the most wonderful man.

His eyes are blue, and he has such little feet.

Now I know why little brothers are so neat.

Abracadabra alakazam!

This little boy is turning into a man.

He wants to drive race cars, but is stuck with a van.

But no matter how big this little guy gets, he will always be my little man.

I know that I can call him up, and know that he will be there.

Even if the only reason is because he is my little brother that he cares.

I suppose that is a good enough reason. I hope that is just the start.

What I really want him to care about me is not with blood, but with his heart.

We are both much older now, and with confidence I can say.

That without my little brother, my life would never  have been this way.

Now he calls me up on the phone when I am far away from home.

He makes sure to do it every now and then to make sure that I am not alone.

We make cookies when he comes over, and then we drink some tea.

And I thank God every day for giving this little brother to me.

Maybe one day we will both have are own kids, and together they will play.

And they will also have to learn this same lesson one not so distant day.

A brother is a treasure, hold on to him with your life.

For you are one of the most influential people he will ever have in his life.
