Just a Smile

The world is dark

The world is cold

Frowns all around

Till you get old

“I’ll have other time to be happy”

Well that statement is bold

Life could end tomorrow

Life could end today

So why are we putting the smiles away?

I hardly see smiles on a daily basis

Everyone’s straight faced or frowning

And it’s outrageous

It’s almost as if we’re scared

That smiling is contagious

But don’t be worried

Smiles are key to warming one’s core

Smile to one

They’ll smile to more

And all of a sudden

It’s smiles galore

These smiles can be spread far and wide

A new revolution

Let’s get it started and not subside
