judgement day

Location

Judgement

The young lady you bumped into today just got kicked out of her boyfriend's house because he declared his lust for another woman

The person that you judge have sorrow stories that you have not heard.

The boy that you were picking on for wearing the same sneakers with a hole in the front is now homeless, have no place to stay

Another story that you will never understand.

because you own more than one pairs of footwear

The man that you teased for being overweight is diabetic

Judgment is the spoken word that imprisons your mind to stupidity

The woman at the grocery store that you cursed at just lost her son to gang violence where all she remembers semi-automatic rounds going off and his lifeless body drops in one movement

What if you are judged for your appearance, your disability, your style, or your existence

Judgment is potent, injection of ignorance

Judgment prevents us from realizing our flaws.

Some people judge out of jealousy.

Some judge out of envy

some even judge out of anger because they are not happy with their lives

therefore, everyone else should live their lives in misery

You will never know an individuals story until you take the time to know them

and even love them who they are

what if you were the one that went through something similar

you would want someone to judge you

This poem has so much truth in it. Sorry to go back to Kindergarden rules and also one of God's laws, but "Treat people like you would want to be treated". It is not that hard, it justs takes some time to calm down and think before you react. Though I speak this, I still have trouble with this from day to day, but I pray and practice so I can get better. Surprisingly...I have gotten better. Like I said, it just takes some time and practice and a little bit of sympathy for others. Thanks for speaking up. Keep writing on my friend.
