Jewel (Our Julian)

Stare, he always illuminates the room
Presence, family unity is what he loves
Intelligent, this he did not choose
Handsome, the bird was named a dove

Born with no pain from his mother (my sister)
This child’s life would be like no other
First time I laid eyes on him, he smiled
I snapped the picture of this wonder child

Months of dissecting the situation
Together we sat down and spoke the complications
Family we need to change our roles
God brought an Angel, a different soul

Years he was taught to learn
One woman became his teacher
While this woman looked at him and yearn
Above all we were blessed to have this preacher

Siblings running around now
He’s so grown up, no one is moping
Fascinated by the growth, Wow
Together coping, still hoping

His eyes are hypnotizing, as he looks in yours
His hugs and kisses fill one up with warmth
To say I love you…He responds I love you more
Our hearts jump and skip a beat; this is all we care for

Anything is possible when support is never far away
We could sit and look at him, and thank God everyday
This sweet little Angel does not know the difference he’ll make
The beautiful soul he has within, we’ll make sure he never breaks

He changed our lives and became our HERO
Never will we allow anyone to call him a zero
The LOVE is huge, unimaginable, if he knew
Supporting Autism and lighting up the color BLUE
