It’s Not Obscure

Location

A humdrum job, I do not wish to secure

The life of an author I yearn to ensure

Crafting magical worlds

And not letting imagination die

But sometimes the journey there seems to obscure

I plan on obtaining such a wacky profession

By writing and then writing some more

By expanding my mind

And writing with a child’s heart

But sometimes the journey there seems to obscure

There are plenty of concerns when pursuing this career

Like what will I live on in the mean time

What if I never make enough to buy a mouth watering glazed donut

These obstacles don’t really beat me down

But sometimes the journey there seems to obscure

To get there, there are no real obstacles

Like having to find Pan, the lost God of the Wild

Or having to deal with being a demigod

I don’t even have to deal with being a wizard

But sometimes the journey there seems to obscure

Since I will write and craft endlessly

I will believe in me regardless of anybody

The life of an author I’ll surely achieve

Because imagination and faith is really all I need

Now the journey doesn’t seem to obscure
