Inspirations with struggles

I am Marlene. And this is my poem.

My inspiration was my representation.

Living dyslexic was pretty hectic.

Living dyslexic affected my life.

I couldn’t make it into perfection.

I was always neglected. Never respected.

But I’ve always detected, there was something within me,

something impressive, something historic.

I turned into an athlete.

I found my passion and took it into action.

Taekwondo opened the window to breathe... home.

I was in darkness until I felt calmness. I was heartless until I felt promised.

I was unconscious of what happiness felt.

It’s strange how passions change you.

Never let disapproval from strangers beat the clever in you.
