The Innocence of Youth

I remember all these memories
Of good times and bad
When we laughed or cried
Whether they were smiles or frowns
I look back on those days
Even if they were bad and smile
Remembering the innocence
We could care less about the world around us
We had our own little worlds
In which we were the rulers
We only cared about ourselves
Whether you liked the Backstreet Boys or N’Sync better
Or what rides we wanted to go on at the Bazaar
Nothing mattered
Only us
Those are the memories l remember
I look back on them and smile
