Imperfectly Flawless
I turn to the side and see my stomach fat bulging out,
But I still can pull off sexy in my little black dress.
My face has a mole that wants to take over,
But bam with a little eyeliner and lipstick, I could be the black Mariyln Monroe.
The stretchmarks on my body can make their own world map,
But I show them as my own original runway design.
I stand in front of the crowd mouth hanging open and no words coming out,
But alone I feel like I can give the Queen B a run for her money.
Many believe that I bottle up my emotions,
But if you just take the time to notice my eyes will show all.
To me one plus one will often equal twenty,
But my imagination when writing and dancing is out of this world.
I may not be able to show it,
But when given the chance I love fully.
I may not be cool enough for the in crowd,
But I have more genuine friends then any one else.
Many will see my skin color as a disadvantage,
But me, I love the fact that I will never have to go tanning.
I know I made myself imperfectly,
But my God has made me flawless.
