I Was...,But Now I Am

Mon, 07/14/2014 - 15:09 -- p1ck3tt

I was afraid, but now I'm not.

I was hopeless, but now I'm full of hope.

I was weak, but now I'm strong.

I was powerless, but now I reign with power.

I was dull, but now I shine like the brightest star.

I was careful, but I'm careless.

I was not-knowing, but now I'm smart as can be.

I was a follower, but now I lead myself places.

I was quiet, but now I'm heard everywhere.

I was shy, but now I'm outgoing.

I was old news about to be thrown out, but now I am an bestselling open book.

I was the goodie-goodie, but now I take risks.

I was a little girl hiding from the world,

But now I'm all grown up screaming,

"Give me all you got you big bad world!"
