Heartbreak

A rumble of the earth shot through me;

My life flashed before my eyes;

I understood what the world was saying,

Telling me to love you,

Showing me your uniqueness,

Opening my heart to kindness.

The world was right;

You were everything to me,

All I needed, all I wanted;

You were yourself,

Nothing more, nothing less.

You crushed me,

Crumbled my world,

Turned my soul to ash and darkness.

You died;

You are dead to me.

I loved you;

I always will.

You broke me.

The world was right;

It is heartbreak.
