The Fairy/Love

I found in her in my dreams,

But I never found you.

My sense all but betrayed, and I was so deep in the dark,

but I stepped in the rays of metal sunshine blind for a second.

I hated it,

I craved it.

I ran after the petals that I thought were you.

I ran into the rain and extended my hands so I could hear you.

The scent was alluring.

The sounds gave me life.

I felt foolish to cross an ocean, what if you married? What if you loved beyond me?

I kept every letter you sent, knowing it was a girl's behavior. What if you moved on? Had children on your knee?

What if you didn't miss me?

What if you regretted my meeting, my time?

But I found you, sitting in the feilds, hands clasped together. I don't think you believed I was there, that's why you ran.

How could I believe your presence was near me!? For God's sake,

Please don't run! Let me tell you every word.

If the words were real, I'd forget my dreams and fears. Soon I'd be able to hold back all my tears and lay in the grass. Laugh at the sky and God where ever he may be, and tell you I'm mad, but so are you. What was that you called me?

Fairy, Your hair ran with the wind, and your steps sprayed flowers all around you. Not to mention how soft and light your footsteps are even in the timberland.

A Fairy? Yes.....I can live with that.
