Fading vision
1 John 2:15-16
15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world,
the love of the Father is not in him, 16 because all that is in the world
(the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the arrogance produced
by material possessions) is not from the Father, but is from the world.
Fading vision
If in my flesh dwells no good ... it must be dead indeed
So anything attached to it ... has no way of surviving
To survive you need some life ... and that is not understood
Yes a world in love with flesh ... is built around knifing
An extension of death is hell ... where “the worm dies not”
So somewhere on death ... a multitude is feeding
So does death bring life ... to other forms in existence?
And if that is so ... is my death feeding the needy?
Now if the spirit is dead ... and never shows a ray of light
Are there some forms of life ... on it constantly feeding?
Somehow there must be something ... that really does attract
The everlasting entities ... that in rottenness are needing
Even in everlasting darkness ... seems to be some light
In the beginning of its existence ... otherwise darkness is not right
So nowhere is there an excuse ... that can be brought forward
For exposure was in every facet ... in our continuous plight
Stone by stone we built excuses ... one by one thrown in a pile
We convince others of their beauty ... by hiding all forms of decay
Somehow we like the appearance ... even though the stones are vile
It is not hard to get an audience ... for all build similar piles that way
In the stillness of the night ... the only deafening sound I hear
Seems the reminder of my conscience ... a fading vision of Eternal
All my desires in the making ... seem to gear to the temporal
And these like to overpower ... that nothing worthwhile is here
