Extinguished Effect

The flame, taken for granted

Of her hair so fiery red

And sparks alive in her heart

Of love and pain unsaid

Did uplift those she so loved

Yet left her soul to shred

Now the fire lies extinguished

Leaving those once warm to dread

The ever painful fact that

No flames live in the dead
