Enslaved

 Corinthians 6:12     New English Translation

Flee Sexual Immorality

12 “All things are lawful for me”—but not everything is beneficial. “All things are lawful for me”—but I will not be controlled by anything.

A form of slavery

Enslaved by selfishness may be driven by some addiction

This makes me partially alive or close to a form of death

Every demand, which is made right then, is not always helpful

A Christian should see that here the choice is not for the best

But a Christian should die to himself, there is no better way?

Appearance is not the issue, but fruitfulness every single day

This what Christ engaged one day in his walk to the Temple?

He simply addressed disappointment in a tree as an example

Matthew 21:18-20      New English Translation

The Withered Fig Tree

18 Now early in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry. 19 After noticing a fig tree by the road he went to it but found nothing on it except leaves. He said to it, “Never again will there be fruit from you!” And the fig tree withered at once. 20 When the disciples saw it they were amazed, saying, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”

So it is with the body as it is permitted to do many things

To be called free indeed surely is bringing Glory to the Lord

It won’t help too much if it is only used to bring shame

To the author of the Universe Who knows our every word
