Dullness

Proverbs 14:33

33 Wisdom rests in the heart of the discerning;
it is known even in the heart of fools.

Finally some rest ... how long will it be?

Only one more step ... but in what direction?

Give it my best ... and I should be free

but I feel so bound ... so far from affection.

Dullness of the mind ... transferred to the heart.

It seems all turns routine with self on the sideline.

Even the measure “kind” ... seems a small part

as I go through the motion like everything is fine.

Did my strength leave me ... am I not alone?

Surrounded by the hopeless ... drawing “what?” from me.

Little I have to offer ... as I’m formed into a clone

of the other’s desperation ... what now will I be?
