A Dream's Life
Once upon a time
in a land far, far away
lived a girl who could dream.
She dreamt of a future.
A tomorrow unbounded by the confines of today
in world ruled equally by tears of joy and sadness.
She wished her dream upon a star
and hoped it would travel far.
But that star was the furthest the dream traveled.
For that star saw past the glamour of the dream,
and banished it to chase its impossibilities
on the wings of its futile hopes.
To say that dream grew into more than a dream,
I would need to begin by saying
"Once upon a time".
