Yell at me, throw stuff at me
I am allowed here
Don't point over there
Just because a word separates us
We are the same

I want to order some-
Ow! That hurt.
I won't back down.
I won't leave this bar.
I may not talk to you
I can only think in my head

Now bottles are being thrown at me
I will not leave
I will not hurt you like you
hurt me

You can call me names
negro, its just a word
I won't call you things
Not today.

Today I stand up for people
who you discriminate becauseof
one word

Today WE make history
Today you will learn
That we are equals
