Demons and Fate

I am scared to go to sleep.

The demons haunt my dreams.

I always wake up screaming, but that

fuels their torture even more.

I see them everywhere. With their,

hollow eyes,

Gaping mouths,

matted hair and rotting flesh.

I close my eyes, to try to block them out.

It doesn't matter, they are there

in my mind. Trying to lure me

to the darkest part, trying to scare me.

I scream out, in frustration

"why can’t you just leave me alone?"

They answer with a bone-chilling laugh,

and a reply that sounds like this:

" Tick Tock goes the clock,

your years will fly by

simply because you have to die."

At First I didn’t understand.

but now I do...

You can never escape,

Your Fate.
