Danger before Safety

Location

The pounding of my heart as I looked down at the dangerous slopes

The threatening bugs attacking my face

The nightmares ruining my restless nights

The scary faces in the crowd before my grand performance

The strong salespeople grabbing at my arms, attempting to make me come with them

The powerful punch that knocked down the enemy as I watched my favorite show

The gigantic dog bounds towards me as I stood frozen

The fast-paced speed of rushing water over my head as I struggled to reach the surface

The thick cigarette smoke in my face as I struggled to breathe

The dark shadows and small noises behind me as I made my way home

The soft breeze through my hair as I at last make my way to the steps of my house

The quietness in the air with a book in my hands

peace inside the house

Calmness in my heart and soul

The end of the danger

Safety passes over and all is fine.
