Daddy

I'm a big girl now

I can't accept everyone's opinion

I'm a big girl now

I can't suppress my own

I'm big

And strong

And independent

And my point of view is as valuable as yours

If you only knew…

I'm big but I still need help

But as I get older

You dictate more of my life

As I get older

You shorten my strides

Try to strangle me into a mold I can't fit

I make myself smaller

And smaller

Ans as soon you loosen the reins

I'll run
