Steel tears flesh

And wood shatters bone

One last breath

And then she's out cold

Twisted fibers burn skin

And cement crushes skull

One last day to live

And then he's out null

Pills aid sleep

And poison rots bodies

One last promise to keep

And then they’re out with the poppies

Lead creates a hole

And water fills the lungs

One last act to show

And then they're all done

Maybe they're selfish

Maybe they're right

But they all have one wish

Which is to end their life

They may not be interested

In what's in the world

But they were committed

To having their life unfurled
