After twelve long years of separation,
Some were anxiously waiting to see us with utter anticipation.
As we traveled so far on this blessed holiday,
We all felt safe from all who did pray.
On December 25th, 2013 it was a proud site,
To see the Dodds family's faces filled with surprise.
That day was so peaceful and full of joy,
As everyone enjoyed being with me and their boy.
We enjoyed being with the family for another blessed year,
When we went to leave I felt a happy tear!
Then we made the journey over to see my parents too.
It was the first time for my husband and them got to meet,
At first we were nervous and didn't know what to do,
But after the introductions we all chatted and took a seat.
It was so satisfying to witness my family had finally come together,
I knew then, no matter what, that we could endure any type of weather!
All the people I love so dearly had made Christmas of 2013 a very blessed and wonderful holiday!
The best I had been a part of in years.
We all were happy and filled with tears,
As we plan for our long trip home-
We all come to realize that we will never be alone!
We know as long as we have family, love one another, and are together-
It will always be a blessed and wonderful day!
