-Voices of the Sea-

I can hear the voices of the sea,

The waves are calling my name,

The tide chanting to my soul.

They lure every inch of me;

I can hear the voices of the sea.

The storm sings as minstrel in the night,

Vibrating up the rocky shores,

Echoes in the sea caves deep.

I awaken, spirit taking flight,

Diving to the moon’s reflection bright.

Vibrant yet dark swirls envelope me,

My soul bound to the water,

The world above grows distant.

I’m now claimed as a daughter of the sea,

Is it possible to feel more free?

Colors, their names waiting to be told,

Asking what I shall call them,

Mystical sights surround me,

So wondrous and bright in a sea so cold.

Each a unique story to be told.

So many voices all around me,

There are whispers from the sand,

Pleading “please stay forever”,

Dance with us for all eternity,

Listen to the voices of the sea.
