And The Memories Flood Back To Me

Location

Even as I write them, they are faded

That song brings them back

Reminds me of a time when nothing mattered

But then I remember the good times

And that song rings through the struggles

And the times will be good, soon.

The sun still shines, though not as brightly as I remember

It has moved on in its life

Along with everyone else.

Some close, some far away.

Some hard to watch.

Too fast for my small mind to wrap its fingers around

No longer innocent, without worries

The world was a happier place then

When the times that are gone now,

were still here.

The times of sunshine are gone now,

Just a memory fading in time

Like the echoes of that song
