For Teachers

Power Poetry gives you the tools to bring poetry into your classroom. Set up a private group, assign challenges, and watch your students find their voice.

Set Up a Classroom Group

Step 1

Create your group

Choose "Classroom" type — it's private by default with join approval enabled. Only members can see who is in it or what they write.

Step 2

Share the join code

Each group gets a unique 6-character code. Put it on the board and send students to powerpoetry.org/groups/join to enter it.

Step 3

Approve members

Students need a free account first (13+). Their requests appear on your group's Settings page — approve each one to let them in.

Step 4

Post challenges

Create poetry challenges with deadlines. Students submit poems directly to the group.
