Driven by the moon
Though I'm sustained by the sun
I find some refuge in believing
God will hold me when I'm done
I want to be pregnant by the ambrosial breath of life,
and flit between the consuming fires of my insecurities unscathed.
To rejoice in the veracious appetite for pleasure and pain
From the suffocation of checkered fear,
To the pastel brush stroke of peace.
From the wide-eyed, emotive hollowness of 3 a.m.
When you care about something enough you do
Everything you can to win it
But obviously you don’t get it
How can you stand there and tell me to quit it
When you are not even in it
I am working with a passion
