There is a forest A dim forest full of dusky trees and damp moss Tiny critters that scuttle about Weaving in between the roots of dying oaks and already dead birches
Did a good heart get you far As simple as it seems Did a good mom get you sharp As simple as her seams   Did a good heart feed your soul Or did it starve you to death
For country and glory, It's the same old story. Fighting for a just cause. Into the trench, Shooting British and French. Artillery serves as applause.
