She fell in love with the people
she returned because of them
because she wanted to love them better
and she did.
Though she also learned to love
the moments of the sunset over the lake
Mesmerized by the beauty
Lost in the harmony
She is
Not focused on the problems
But the glory
Nor the sadness
But their story
Not attentive to their faults
Only noticing the shine
Last year held challenges,
Some that terrified me, some that didn’t.
All were conquerable
With the right mindset.
I made my plans, I planted my heart
Firmly, steadfastly into them.
