Betrayed and backstabbed
By our African brothers.
Insulted, humiliated and robbed
Blaming the white men
Is the idea, the insane ideas
That many of you have in your eyes
Sturdy over water
Flowing fast and free
Moonlight shines below
You let me stand above
A spectacular view
Peaceful
Beauty
Free
The water rushes
The lights shine
Circumstances may neglect you
No matter how people
Bring you down to feeble
And let your self-esteem low and blue
Only fools burn bridges
Of one’s failures and foes
