i am sorry
i am sorry if you confused me for home
usually flowers do that too.
i dont blame you for doing that
i dont blame you for throwing words into the sky
Today is the day
I have a date today
With a guy who just seems great
He is just like me in countless ways
We have the same order at Subway
"Does death frighten you?" she asked as she sipped her warm coffee.
I replied with a simple "No." Sitting across from the interviewer.
An easy answer to such a complicated question.
Sugar-coated cinnamon sticks,Your fingers pluck them from a dusty glass jarOn a honey-baked solstice day. Sun shining bright, bright in my eyes,And in yours,
And she scratched and clawedAt her fragile skin,Ripping off scabs and scars,Watching the red begin surface.The blood dripped down her legsUntil it blended with thered of her toenails.
I sit here; you sit there
I try to avoid your sidelong stare
Your hands are twitching by your side
I ignore the nerves you try to hide
This is why I don't go out on dates
The rain drops fall, caressing her face
The tight curls of her hair unwinding
Her eyes look down, words lost in space
Her hands cross slowly, searching, finding
A small bit of solace in each other
Can we make a date;
can we make a date for life;
can we make a date for summer swings
and long soft snowy nights;
Can we make a date?
for dreams:
for songs:
for hair too long
You make look beatiful on the outside
but on the inside you might be the opposite.
They say your sweet and innocent but you can just be another counterfit.
You make look beatiful on the outside
but on the inside you might be the opposite.
They say your sweet and innocent but you can just be another counterfit.
