We think that we have come far, but how far is 155 years? How far from MLK, Rosa Parks, Malcolm X?  How far from fire hoses, and unleashed dogs, and hanging trees hidden behind the fog?
The teachers keep on sayin There’s a red white and blue dream  But the only red and blue we see fight round that white man referee   
the american dream. the american dream isn’t meant for you and me. it’s a true contradiction and complete hypocrisy. this the dream that lets white kids look at the sky as the limit while black bodies line the streets.
