His hair was the color of  flames His shoulders were ruddy from all the burdens he's carried  Even his old truck was red But his eyes were a bright  blue

red, horribly so as the blood spills so do secrets untold and the tales once told by jolly men now tick at the back of your head as lies descent upon you, like a flood of rain
Each thorn digging into my scalp the loudness of the blaring red roses
