A brisk fall afternoon
My dad promised to take me hiking
To cure my cabin fever
To venture out into the wide open world
To experience serenity
Rain pattered on the metal roof
I’m going to meet her at the airport in an hour.
I’ll get there early, no second-guessing.
I don’t care whether it’s a fair day in Acapulco or not,
I’m going on a trip with her, rain or shine.
.
I miss those daysBeing sun-kissedGoing to that coffee shopWhere I find that old manEvery morningSaying "good morning "And asking how am II get a hot cup of coffeeAnd a morning smile
Her name was Kennedy
and I really wish that she was into me.
14 months after Kianna. Thinking that she was the only one for me
and how my feelings trapped me so deep.
I escaped and my love is hungry and I see
Take a trip with me to lands unheard of
Through hidden passages, secret doors, and unknown chambers deep within my mind
All you need is your imagination so leave everything behind
Swimming through air
Floating then plunging
Through depths
Gliding over
Whispy vessels afloat
On nothingness
Effortless
Taking a trip to soul, to love, to faith
Tripping over bags, over miles, over tolls
Taking a breath, a gap, a check
Tripping over canyon, over mountain, over moon
Taking it back
Trip, trip, back, back.
I can feel you closing in
Nipping at my heals, only a few steps behind
What do you want from me?
I never asked for this chase to begin
And yet to chase me down, you seem inclined
