Alexander Hamilton

Alexander Hamilton,
so concerned about a legacy,
that he missed the present.
Passed up on the now,
and he flew straight to
the future.
Missed out on the mundane,
I imagine death
Is this a memory?
Will it finally get me,
Is this where my end will be?
I've been livin' as a man with a mission
As a white person, I know very little of oppression.
I am not shot in the streets for no reason
I am not taunted with that confederate flag
I am not put in jail for the smallest infraction
Hamilton, Alexander Hamilton, a man of many words yet with none at the same time,
A man whom I never thought much of, who is not fully appreciated,
Made such an impact on the making of America.
