I am a strong, independent woman
Let me repeat myself
You obviously weren’t listening
I am a strong independent woman
I am female
I am male
I get hit for stupid reasons
I'm powerful and strong
People believe I'm only good for house work
It's said I have to maintain the home
At work, I get lesser pay

I kept running,
Until I had to stop
I curled up into a ball
My arms hugging my knees tightly
Before I knew it, it was raining buckets
And my face was wet from sobbing
Please do not use my good looks
As an excuse for your blatant impertinence
Of course I look “pretty damn fine”
But I did not get dressed with you in mind
Your threatening footsteps,
Lingering eyes,
I am woman, hear me roar,
Breath fire, wipe minds, tear asunder
This world that was built on innocent blood
Of women, children, difference plundered.
Where woman tread, no man should.
I Am Tall & Durable
or Short & Mighty
Neat as a pin
Always kept & tidy
(nonetheless) never far from chaotic
I will completely annihilate you
