Driving Away
I force my tear-stained eyes to watch your retreating silhouette
One moment that hurt more than anything I have ever been through
Letting go and leaving you behind
Laughing at the good times - Crying because of the bad
I held on because I desperately wanted you to be the one - But I know it is time
I need to set you free - Clear my head and prepare my heart
Red as blood And white as snow It pierces deeper than the sharpest sword
Blue as the sky And crystal clear It abides only in the pure of heart
It is the soul of mankind, The root of longing
Come one, come all Move quickly and reserve the best seats The show is about to begin
The lights go dim, and a hush falls over the crowd But as the curtains are drawn, a question is raised A question that provokes an uproar
